Our Changemaker Fellows are pleased to share an update on The Changemaker Initiative. Our Ashoka partners, Anne Evans and Vipin Thekk, recently held another workshop with the Changemaker Fellows to address problems and challenges the Fellows are encountering with their projects. Several leaders in the congregation, known as Changemaker Allies, provided advice about vision, strategy, project management, time management, fundraising, and more. Two Ashoka Fellows, Jim Thompson of Positive Coaching Alliance and Katia Gomez of Educate2Envision, also came to the workshop and shared their wisdom and insights.
Our Changemaker Fellows also spent an evening in August with California-Nevada Bishop Minerva Carcaño and her leadership cabinet to talk about the Initiative and how it is impacting the faith journeys of those who are participating. Bishop Carcaño was delighted to hear what is happening and called it a “movement” or a “renewal” for the church!
The Fellows will be assembling teams and piloting their ideas through this fall. For more information or to contact one of our Fellows to get involved in their projects, visit The Changemaker Initiative’s website.
