- Journey, the middle school fellowship group (6th–8th grades), meets Sunday evenings 7:00–8:30pm in Room 7.
- Lightshine, the 6th–8th grade choir, rehearses on Wednesdays 5:00–6:00pm in the Choir Room.
- Confirmation for 8th graders meets on Sunday mornings from January through March only.
- Venture Sunday school (6th–8th grades) meets at 10:00am on Sundays in the Youth Room.
Journey
Journey, the middle school youth group, meets Sunday nights during the school year from 7:00 to 8:30pm. We have a lot of fun together! On any night you might find us playing games, talking about important social and spiritual topics, studying the Bible, creating things, having an overnight, going to LazerQuest, bowling, heading to the park … who knows what else? You don’t want to miss out on the friends and fellowship this group has to offer you!
Lightshine Choir
Lightshine is our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir. We rehearse every Wednesday during the school year at 5:00pm. Lightshine sings in church often and is a part of our annual Thanksgiving Eve service, Festival of Carols & Lights, Christmas Eve service, and the Confirmation service in the spring. Lightshine is great fun and great music!
Venture Sunday School
Our middle schoolers (6th–8th grades) are invited to attend Venture Sunday school on Sunday mornings at 10:00am in the Youth Room. Venture offers a time to explore a variety of topics and have deep conversations with peers and members of LAUMC. Youth will get to ask (and answer), “What does it mean for me to be a Christian?” and “How will I face the ups and downs of life as a follower of Jesus?” and other questions. They are also invited to participate in worship/choir, Bible study, and evening youth group. We want all families to know that there are many paths for youth to ground themselves in faith during these important formative years.
