Place cash or check in offering plate. If you would like contribution credit for your gift, please place in a green offering envelope and label clearly with your name and address.

Use your bank to set up one-time or recurring payments (check will be mailed to the church by your bank)

For existing Schwab clients

Write and sign a Letter of Authorization (LOA) specifying the stock you are transferring, and scan the LOA
Log into your Schwab account to upload your LOA on the Secured Messages link
Please notify the LAUMC Finance Office of your gift, including your name, stock to be transferred, and any designation

For non-Schwab donors

Contact your broker or institution specifying the stock you are transferring

Give from your IRA, 401K, 403B directly to LAUMC. If a donor is over 70 ½ years old, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) may count towards satisfying donor’s annual Required Minimum Deduction (RMD). If distribution is sent directly to LAUMC as a contribution, it is not recognized as taxable income.

Give through your Charitable Trust Accounts, such as a Donor Advised Fund. A tax deduction can be taken when the fund is established, and the donor determines how the funds will be invested and to whom and when the funds may be given.

Donate your vehicle to LAUMC and save the hassle of selling, handling the DMV paperwork, and getting a smog certificate. Proceeds after cost of sale will be administered by the Gifts & Memorials Committee and will be used for projects not funded by the LAUMC operating budget, such as: Seminary Scholarship Fund, Church Camp counselor scholarships, seminars, conferences, and courses for LAUMC staff members, and the Pastors’ Discretionary Fund.
