You have faith, strengths, gifts, passions, and dreams—what are you gonna do with them? Are you wondering how you, your faith, and the world’s problems intersect? Do you feel a nudge to explore putting your faith into action in a new way? Are you longing for a community that will support and challenge you as you grow? If you answer yes to any of these questions, consider becoming a Changemaker Fellow! Maybe it’s time to risk something big for something good.
You can have an impact right where you are—in your church, family, school, workplace, community. The Changemaker Fellowship is a nine-month group experience of personal discovery, faith development, and learning social innovation skills (compassion, leadership, teamwork, and creativity)—all while discovering and pursuing a project to make a difference. A project idea is not required ahead of time.
Year 2 of the Fellowship is for adults and will run September 2019 through May 2020. (Information about our youth Changemaker opportunity is coming soon.) All are invited to hear more details at an Invitation Session on Saturday, April 27, 9:30–11:00am or Tuesday, May 14, 7:00–8:30pm in Room 8. Applications are available here and are due May 21. The selected Changemaker Fellows will be announced on May 31 and attend a kick-off event on September 7.
Our previous group of Fellows experienced these transformational outcomes: 84 percent found an opportunity to talk about faith and church in a new way, 79 percent used skills of changemaking in other areas of their lives, and 67 percent are continuing to work on their spark, or project, after the completion of the Fellowship.
