June 24-26
Special Olympics Northern California is hosting our 2022 SONC Summer Games in Santa Clara on June 24-26 and we have a great number of volunteer needs that we are trying to fill.
For those unfamiliar with Special Olympics, we are a non-profit organization that offers sports, health, and schools programs to children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the participants or their families. Such opportunities allow for inclusion, acceptance, and confidence-building, among many other intangibles. The SONC Summer Games are our largest (and most fun!) event of the year, and we are happy to be hosting them in Santa Clara for the first time! Volunteers may find that the experience is life-changing for them, as well as for the athletes that they are supporting.
