The Pastor Transition Committee is planning events and activities to honor Pastor Kathi and celebrate her retirement on the weekend of June 4-5. Whether you are a long time LAUMC member or a new attendee, please join us in creating this celebration!
Pastor Kathi Retirement Celebration
You are invited to help us celebrate Pastor Kathi by attending one or more of the following events:
Please note that you must have registered for the Celebration Dinner before May 30.
The registration for the event closed May 29.
Saturday, June 4
4:00pm-5:00pm – Retirement Celebration Event
This event will celebrate Kathi’s time at LAUMC as well as all of her extraordinary career. Special guests will provide insight into Pastor Kathi’s many accomplishments.
5:30pm – Celebration Dinner
A catered dinner in honor of Kathi’s ministry will be held in the Creekside parking lot. This dinner will include live music provided by the StarGeezers and some fun activities to allow attendees to get to know each other better. Registration is required by May 29th. In addition to the those who register for the event, there will be invited guests special to Pastor Kathi.
Sunday, June 5
10:00am – Worship Service
(Note: This will be the only worship service on June 5)
Some special components of this service will honor Kathi. There will not be a service at 8:30am or 5:00pm Creekside on this day.
Celebration Reception
Immediately following the June 5 Worship Service. This event will be an informal gathering in the Creekside Center to allow people to gather and celebrate Pastor Kathi’s time at LAUMC with her. A collection of video greetings from members of the church community will be available.
Light refreshments will be served.
Gift
In lieu of a gift for Pastor Kathi, she has requested that people provide a gift to LAUMC in her honor.
