Virtual Women’s Retreat 2021

Friday, May 7 & Saturday, May 8 – Led by Pastor Kathi McShane and Carol Damonte

Virtual Women's Retreat 2021 - Do You Want To Be Well?

Do You Want To Be Well?
Of course, you do!  Don’t we all want to be well?  But sometimes, when we dig a few layers down, we find there’s something inside of us that resists the gifts, and the healing, that life is offering us.  This is the question Jesus asked someone who’d been lying next to a healing pool for years and years, unable to get close enough to tip over the edge…until Jesus asked, and then really listened to the answer.  This retreat is an invitation to reflect on your own life, alone and in connection with other women.  We’ll talk, we’ll have fun, we’ll pray and nestle up close to the Spirit of God–all from a safe distance.  And we’ll watch a movie!  (Can’t tell you yet; it’s a surprise!).

We will begin on Friday, May 7:

  • 4:00 – 5:30 pm: Zoom Session 1
  • Dinner on your own
  • Evening activity (~90 minutes) on your own (but this is important, so be sure to leave time for it!)

And continue on Saturday, May 8:

  • 9:00 – 11:00 am:  Zoom Session 2
  • Lunch and completing an activity on your own
  • 1:30 – 3:30 pm: Closing Zoom Session

If you are available to join us during the times listed above, please click on the button below by April 21st and submit your payment of $25/registrant.  There’s a Retreat Swag Box for each participant to be either picked up at the church office the week of the retreat or mailed to you if you live out of the area.

This year space is virtually unlimited, so this is a good opportunity to invite friends, mothers, sisters, and daughters to join us for our Virtual Women’s Retreat!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Lori Sapigao: lori.umc.registrar@gmail.com or (650) 714-5603; or Linda Nordmann: lindanordmann@laumc.org or (650) 948-1083.

We are looking forward to spending the weekend together, virtually!

Sincerely, The LAUMC Women’s Retreat Planning Team
