Information Session: January 26, 11:30 Sequoia Room (and on Zoom)
Trip: July 27 – August 4
Join us for seven days of learning from the history of Northern Ireland with Michael McRay.
This will be a week of deep, meaningful engagement with a place that has lived through—and continues to heal from—its own painful history of division and violence. Northern Ireland holds powerful lessons about how individuals and communities move through trauma, seek understanding, and work to heal divides. For a church that believes in peace, justice, and the call to love across lines, there is no better place to witness and learn from the ongoing work of reconciliation.
Throughout our week, we’ll not only learn from activists, peacemakers, and survivors of Northern Ireland’s Troubles but also have time to immerse ourselves in the culture, history, and beauty of the island of Ireland. We’ll experience evenings of live traditional Irish music in the local pubs (optional), walk the vibrant streets of Belfast, and marvel at the stunning coastline of the Antrim Coast, where beauty itself feels as though it, too, is healing the land.
