A Vigil for Solace and Strength
Monday, January 20, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Join us on Monday, January 20th, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at LAUMC, in the heart of Creekside, for a prayer vigil co-sponsored by Christ Church Episcopalian, Foothill Congregational Church, and LAUMC, dedicated to solace and strength. During this time, we will hold space for the complex emotions that shape our journeys—acknowledging both the burdens we carry and the strength that sustains us.
Through candlelighting and intercessory prayer, we will honor the fears and concerns of our time: the struggle against resignation, the weight of marginalization, and the pressing fear of losing rights and freedoms. Together, we will name these feelings aloud, reminding ourselves that we are not alone.
This vigil is a call to “Do Kindness, Love Justice,” and to draw from our shared hope and faith as we continue to seek a better, more just world. All are welcome to join in this evening of reflection, prayer, and community support.
Let us gather to bring light into the darkness, fortify one another, and move forward with love and determination.
