Angel Tree Is Coming Soon!
There is exciting news. Our program is serving more kids. We have been assigned 47 Angel Tree kids this year to serve in our Angel Tree Christmas Program!
Our Angel Tree Ambassadors are currently speaking with the Caretakers of these kids to determine the best gift we can give each child on behalf of the incarcerated parent. We are dedicated to helping the kids know they are loved and valued. We are determined to enhance the relationship between parents and children. God’s healing love serves both the children and the incarcerated parent during this difficult separation with all the work of our congregation and the Angel Tree volunteers.
Our Christmas tree will be up in the narthex on December 1 and December 8. All those who want to participate in creating joy for these 47 kids can select Angel Tree Gift Tags from the tree. All the purchased gifts must be returned to the narthex by December 15. The Mary Martha Fellowship will direct a wrapping celebration for all the gifts on December 15th. Feel free to join us in wrapping the gifts in the Youth Room after services.
We need volunteers who are willing to deliver the presents to the families on the afternoon or evening on December 15. Each driver must have another volunteer to make the delivery even easier. We will match up volunteers if need be. The Angel Tree families live within a 20 mile radius of LAUMC.
