The Church Council has approved the recipients for this year’s Advent Generosity initiative. Our 2019 recipients will be Salinas First UMC, Compassion Week 2020, and Dignity on Wheels, an outreach program of Project WeHOPE. LAUMC has long-standing connections with each of these recipients, and their work aligns with our church’s vision statement: “That all may flourish.” During worship services in Advent, you’ll hear from representatives of each of these outstanding causes, and the Extravagant Generosity team will share a courageous goal for this year’s initiative. The team looks forward to journeying through Advent with you and partnering with you in our church’s generous response to God’s greatest gift.
