Advent Generosity Goal: $150,000
For 13 years, the heart of Advent at Los Altos United Methodist Church has been Advent Generosity–an outward focus on the “why” of Christmas, redirecting our giving into our community and our world with connection, compassion, and courage. Our entire Christmas offering will go to these organizations:
Al Basma Center
Al Basma Center in Bethlehem offers restorative services for developmentally disabled young adults and adults. The goal is to fund a driver and van to transport individuals to Al Basma Center.
Compassion Week 2024
Compassion Week is a coalition of faith-based, community and civic groups partnering together in a week of service to our community and our world.
Salinas First UMC
Salinas First United Methodist Church serves unhoused individuals, including some recently released from prison. Donations will support the completion of the commercial kitchen.
